And The Oscar Goes To...

Before reading the results of the voting, please view the potential award-winning, 2014 Winter Retreat video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CLVIsQBnC4 . On a good day, I would have embedded the video in this blog, but today is not that day. Nothing worked. Do not give me the award for Best Visual Effects.

The envelope please.......................................................................

Best Picture: The Amazing Race!
Best Directors: Mr. John Andrus & Mr. Zak Kasprzak
Best Costume Design: Mrs. Elyse Cyr portraying both Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen with only one costume. How did she do it?!
Best Makeup and Hair Styling: Mrs. Kim Harry for making a head bandage look stylish and fun!
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Matt Ornst for his moving portrayal of the angst-filled male shopper.
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: I couldn't decide between Ellie Treiber for the scene where she sticks out her tongue or Mrs. Muriel Anderson for playing the part of the surprised Administrative Assistant to the President who has no idea what on earth is going on in her hallway. Both roles were absolute classics.
Best Actor: Mr. Zak Kasprzak for always staying one step ahead of all the other actors in every scene.
Best Actress in a Leading Roll: Mrs. Anderson's wheelchair. It had real stage presence, right up there with the Transformers, or possibly even Iron Man's suit.

In reality, all of the participants in the 2014 Winter Retreat - The Amazing Race - are award winners. Each person, whether student, faculty or staff, brought humor, energy and life to the event and created moments of sheer joy for everyone involved.

  1. If I could give you an award, it would probably be Best Sound Mixing/Editing.
