Day 11 of the 31 for 21 Challenge
Eating for a cause.
How fun is that?!
Our students spent last evening partying with the cow and
chickens at Chick-fil-A in Regency Mall. The cow had a blast with the Shepherds
College crowd, but, judging by the lines of customers out the door, the chickens didn’t
survive the night.
Every year, the owners of Chick-fil-A, James and Katie
Fuller, offer to host a Spirit Night to benefit Shepherds with a percentage of
the sales.
All the Shepherds College students turn out en masse to
support their cause and bring awareness of people with disabilities to the
Racine community.
The evening isn’t strictly about raising funds however. The
students have fun with their friends and get a chance to practice their social
and money skills.
Shepherds would like to extend a very big THANK YOU to James and Katie Fuller, as
well as all the students, residents, clients, family, friends, field reps,
teachers and church groups who stopped by Chick-fil-A last night for food, fellowship
and fundraising.
